Renegade Ducati Revs Up With Range of SMS Applications from MPP
Super Bike fans are now able to keep up to date
with the latest developments via text and audio alerts.
August 13th, 2002 - Super Bike team Renegade Ducati will
become the first team in the country to allow its fans to keep up to date
with the very latest developments inside the sport via text messages and
audio services. The service is the first of many to be introduced by Renegade
as they grasp the applications afforded by MPP Global Solutions.
Through the service, fans will be kept up to date with vital Super Bike
stories before they break in the media, direct from their journalist at
practice, qualifying and on race day. The audio service enables fans of
riders Shane 'Shakey' Byrne and Michael Rutter to listen to insights via
a telephone call. Fans are alerted to new audio information from the riders
via text message (which is charged to their mobile phone bill using reverse
billing SMS). This service covers personal and frank insights from the
riders at race weekends and during the week and offers subscribers a unique

The service also offers a text-based competition, which will delight fans
of the team; meeting the riders and team, following a race from the garage
and hospitality and a pillion ride with riders Shane or Michael. The interactive
SMS quiz was the developed and launched by MPP in just 3 days.
