CHELSEA FANS GO INTERACTIVE

Chelsea FC (www.chelseafc.com) has become the first Premiership club to sign up for an innovative e-payment solution from MPP Global Solutions.

The club is kicking off the news season in style by offering a range of exciting new web services which supporters can access using MPP's innovative eWallet and CFC credits. The service has been launched to provide a payment mechanism for Chelsea's first live match transmission online, its friendly against Watford on Tuesday 5th August.

The site plans to launch a series of other premium services over the forthcoming season, offering both their own content and 3rd party premium content offered by MPP partners, such as webmail services and a 3d Chat environment.

Supporters can use CFC Credits for Pay-Per-View events, get the latest breaking news online, download video news and match highlights, have an official Chelsea webmail address and listen to live match commentary on the club's website, www.chelseafc.com.

And they will also be able to pay to access an exciting new graphical chatroom, where users are invited to create their own personalised character and can meet and chat with other supporters in a range of innovative Chelsea-branded rooms.

The eWallet allows users to buy credits in advance via a credit or debit card, text message premium-rate phone call and as a retail product. They can then purchase online content by email, SMS or a phone call, by simply inputting a four digit PIN.

Available to all football clubs, the technology means that clubs can send a text message to supporters just seconds after the end of a game offering match highlights directs to their inbox. Fans who want to take up the offer simply reply to the text message with their PIN with credits deducted from their eWallet.

MPP will be launching similar services with a number of other football clubs, sport, media and entertainment sites in the next few weeks.

Paul Johnson, MPP's Business Development Director, says: "The eWallet system offers the first accessible way to charge for premium content on any platform, in just 4 digits. It is easy to set up and use, making it extremely attractive to the consumer."

He added "Once an eWallet is opened, clients can sell content or product such as shirts or tickets, online, by email or by SMS.

MD of Chelsea Digital Media, Chris Tate, says: "We are sure these services will be a real hit with our supporters and are delighted to be working with MPP. Supporting Chelsea is a life long commitment and their solution enables us to begin a commercial relationship online, and then transact at any time in seconds."
