Sanctuary Records Group Go Live with MPP's iShop
Sanctuary Records Group, one of the U.K.'s leading Independent Labels, has selected MPP to power its online merchandising services. Starting with Trojan, the label's reggae portal, Sanctuary will use MPP's iShop to sell a combination of physical and digital music download products.
Giles Green, Sanctuary's executive vice president of marketing, sales & digital, said: "MPP demonstrated to us the power of its iShop product and providing consumers with the ability to purchase either digital or physical products from one environment was something we have been longing to achieve for some time. Trojan was a natural first site for iShop, which we plan to roll out across other Sanctuary brands in due course."
Paul Johnson, MD at MPP comments: "It is fantastic to add Sanctuary to our growing list of music clients and I am sure they have made the right decision in partnering with MPP for all their eCommerce needs."

iShop provides a complete hosted and managed physical and digital store solution and is designed to Sanctuary's look and feel. iShop is equipped with search, navigation, basket and checkout tools for the purchase of any type of physical, digital, mobile or subscription based product or service. MPP will deliver the music or video download to the consumer's desktop, a ringtone / game / wallpaper to their mobile phone, a digitised video clip to the fan's email inbox, subscribe the consumer to an online premium content service. Future plans could also see Sanctuary adding physical products to the site enable purchasing and delivery of merchandise, such as a CD's, t-shirts through a letterbox all from one transaction. Products can be purchased using a variety of payment mechanisms including credit/debit card and reverse bill SMS. iShop also comes in a version that uses an API took-kit enabling MPP's clients to embed all the iShop functionality into their own website.
iShop provides all payment, shopping cart and physical/digital content management modules. Sanctuary's staff manage iShop products from the MPP Management console, gaining access with a username and password. Once logged in, Sanctuary are able to upload content 24/7 via MPP's easy-to-use web-interface where all physical, mobile and digital products are managed such as editing product information, loading digital content, amending pricing, adding/editing categories within the store, availability, postage rules and so on.
Purchase is simple and future shopping is encouraged with a 4-digit PIN system making one-click transactions possible and repeat transactions in seconds. The fast-buy functionality enables music fans to simply click a "buy now" button on the site, and for the product to be purchased from their account. No forms to fill in, no credit card details to add, no text to send. One click and the product is purchased and made available for download, delivered to the mobile device or alerted to suppliers regardless of which country they are located in, to deliver merchandise and other physical products.
