BSkyB Renews Payments and Packaging Contract with MPP

MPP is pleased to announce that it has renewed its payments and packaging contract with Sky for a further 3 years. The contract, which had run for 2 years, provides Sky with a wealth of online payment capabilities for its Sky Player and GO!VIEW (a joint venture with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) online video and download services. It also provides payment capability to an expanding number of services and applications on Sky’s online portal, Sky.com.

The eCommerce service provides Sky with credit and debit card processing as well as a number of important auxiliary features. Hosted by MPP, those additional features include recurring payments and subscriptions, micropayments for low-value products, incentives and loyalty based applications and a complete account management area where Sky users can self-manage their payment account.

The entire service is backed up by comprehensive back office software which enables Sky’s staff to manage the system, to carry out customer support via its customer contact services, and to ensure appropriate data capture and business reporting.
