Virgin Money Generates 1000s of Responses with txt2
Virgin Money’s billboard campaign in London, as part of their wider ‘Say Yes’ campaign, displays an SMS “call-to-action” to which consumers respond by sending an SMS message to a mobile shortcode. The SMS marketing response is powered by MPP’s txt2 platform. The customer sends an SMS which initiates a two-part text “conversation”, whereby their email address and mobile phone number is recorded and an information pack is delivered to the customer by email. Alternate responses by txt2 include; post, call back, WAP sites, purchasing mechanisms, registration and location based service.
The SMS response channel provides consumers with a quick cost effective way to request information. The SMS response mechanism provides Virgin with lead generation and information on the effectiveness of their advertising locations and whether the campaign was delivered cost effectively.
After 4 weeks of operation Virgin Money is receiving hundreds of SMS enquiries per week and it has proved to be a valuable part of their marketing mix.

SMS Response Chammel Empowers The Funding Corporation's Offline Advertising
The
UK's largest independent financial services company The Funding Corporation
(TFC) has extended its use of MPP's SMS response channel across its brands
to include Approved Car Finance and LoanOnemoneystore.co.uk. TFC first
introduced MPP's SMS response Channel as a consumer response mechanism
over 3 years ago, in a move to reduce cost in fielding consumer enquires
and requests for information. This solution allows for a quick, easy and
familiar method for consumers to communicate with TFC. Since the introduction
of MPP's SMS response, TFC has consistently achieved good levels of response.

Providing
an SMS response channel enables consumers to interact with TFC brands,
register their interest in products and services and capture the moment
when an advertisement is first seen or heard. When it is not appropriate
or convenient to contact a call centre, SMS responses can be still be
collected ensuring interested consumers are not lost.
