Imagine your readers/viewers/listeners being able to instantly buy a digital track, album or bundled playlist, wherever they are, 24 hours a day, by simply sending a text message. Music fans are now able to purchase the latest single or playlist direct from advertising or promotional material on billboards, magazines or broadcast adverts.

With txt-a-song it is possible to capitalise ‘on the moment’ when consumers first see or hear your advertisement; and when they are most likely to respond to it. Consumers can directly interact with your broadcasting, advertising or promotional material and by sending one simple text message to a mobile shortcode completing the transaction couldn’t be easier. To purchase a music download, for example, the user would simply text the message:

and send it to

A response text message is sent thanking your customer and providing download instructions. You can decide whether your customers receive their downloads by mobile, web or email. For example, after placing an order, customers can simultaneously receive an email containing a one time only download link, complete with digital rights management (if required). The music file is paid for by reverse bill SMS (or alternatively via a WAP site where the can purchase by credit/debit card).

Download emails are in HTML format and can contain rich content such as digital brochures, video or audio streaming, links to your web site, additional music/digital content for sale or anything else you can send by email. A payment platform can be added for the sale of digital content or physical products.

You have full control of the html email design, content and look and feel and can amend the html via a MPP, password controlled, administrator’s web page.

How it works

You simply choose keywords that relates to your organisation, the artist or genera. Then simply add the instruction to your existing press, radio, TV or outdoor campaigns:

“Text KEYWORD followed by your email address to 82540 to receive our latest single email directly to you*.”

Music Download Functionality
