How it works
The PayforIT scheme has been designed to provide consumers with a clear and uniform payment method to remove any uncertainty and guide them through the process of either completing or cancelling a transaction. This is achieved by integrating your mobile storefront applications via an Application Programmable Interface (API) connection, thereby enabling you to easily take on the industry standard workflows and compliant WAP pages.
For example, consumers choosing to purchase a product or service from your branded mobile portal will simply click on ‘Pay’ button that appears on a WAP page. Triggered by the API connection, the consumer is transferred to an industry standard PayforIT WAP page displaying details of the item being purchased, including links to your organisation’s customer care helpline details and terms and conditions.
The consumer authorises payment by simply clicking on ‘Pay Now’, at which point PayforIT checks credit availability before monies are debited from the mobile account. Once the transaction outcome has been established the user is given the option to return to your branded mobile portal, ready to initiate another purchase. |
