Text Alerts

MPP’s SMS Text Alerts service is designed for organisations that wish to deliver content by SMS text message to its customer base. Messages can be either free marketing messages or premium content messages that generate you revenue. The system provides the ability for you to create SMS content categories using a simple web-based form. It is to these categories that your customers subscribe, either by telephone, text message or the Internet.

Once your customers have selected categories and have subscribed, you send the Text Alerts from a web-based form. We will provide you with a dedicated username and password and once logged in, you can compose your own SMS text messages. The MPP system will then automatically deliver the text messages to all the customers who subscribe to a particular SMS category, using advanced database technologies.

And all this can generate you revenue! In conjunction with MPP’s eWallet, your customers purchase ‘service credits’ which are redeemed against SMS content or subscribe to our reverse bill SMS service. Each time you send an SMS alert to your customer base, service credits are deducted from their account or billed to their mobile phone bill. Of course, we can also gather revenue by adding a reverse billed charge to each outbound message. If you prefer to send messages at no cost (for direct marketing purposes), then the system works just the same, although no revenue is generated.

MPP offer this service as a completely managed service, providing all the web pages that your administrators require to add content and compose SMS. Furthermore, pages are provided for your customers to select SMS categories from pages embedded within your web site. All pages are designed to your organisations look and feel.

Of course, the Text Alerts service does not have to be based online. A simple SMS message can register a customer for the service, which means that they continue to receive any future SMS messages direct to their mobile phone. MPP can differentiate between various categories within the same service by issuing a number of keywords on the same five digit shortcode.

The SMS Management Console

The SMS Management Console is where your administrators or marketers add and edit SMS categories and compose and send SMS text messages. Furthermore,within the Management Console it is possibly to define the cost to the customer for each outbound message. It is a fully secure, password protected, web site that can be accessed 24/7 providing complete management of your service.
