Mobileshop.com who offer one of the UK’s largest ranges of mobile phones, accessories, handheld PCs, PDAs, digital cameras, portable MP3 and minidisk players, has teamed with MPP Global to provide an innovative Mobile Internet experience. It enables customers to shop, read emails, news and sport, check address books and diaries, receive daily quiz questions, quotes and jokes by text message as well as providing an important dates and events reminder service – all whilst on the move!

Mobileshop’s new service is supported by MPP Global’s partner programme M-2-GO, which provides businesses with Mobile Internet services within days and with zero start up costs. M-2-GO’s range of Mobile Internet facilities are available on a revenue share basis and are designed to help partners develop a range of exciting Mobile Internet services for their own customers, giving them a daily point of presence in their customers’ pockets. The technology works in conjunction with websites, WAP and PDA devices and from a customer viewpoint the link is seamless.

The service can be found at http://www.mobileshop.com/mocom/.

Paul Johnson, Director of MPP Global explains: “Mobileshop with its established web based business is ideally suited, because of its customer profile, to using leading edge Mobile Internet technology. From a commercial viewpoint the M-2-GO partner programme will enable Mobileshop to create new income streams and generate additional revenue per user.”

Ian McCall, the Managing Director of Mobileshop.com said, “The Mobile Internet and mCommerce are central to our strategy over the coming years. MPP Global has provided us with the complete solution, from a WAP gateway through to leading Mobile Internet applications and mCommerce. The whole system was re-branded to our look and feel and set-up within a couple of weeks. I have not seen so many innovative mobile services from one provider that are so affordable.”
