MPP Global’s eSuite Platform Chosen by Professional Squash Association to take SQUASHTV to a Wider Global Audience
MPP Global is now working with the Professional Squash Association (PSA) to power the subscriber management and payments for its international OTT service SQUASHTV.
The PSA is the global governing body responsible for the administration of both men’s and women’s professional squash around the world, with over 900 registered players and more than 200 events taking place each year.
Launched by the PSA in 2009, SQUASHTV is the official home of live and on-demand squash, providing fans with unrivalled access to the world’s best squash action. SQUASHTV has also partnered with Eurosport Player to expand coverage of the sport in Europe.
PSA has signed with MPP Global to power the user management, subscriber management & CRM, commerce and payments for SQUASHTV, supporting international markets outside of Europe. eSuite will enable it to support multiple currencies, monthly and annual subscriptions as well as ad hoc passes and offers.
Chris Harvey, Head of Digital for PSA explained that MPP Global’s expertise in reducing churn was a major factor in deciding to switch from existing platforms to eSuite: “The big appeal for us was the churn predictor, and we also lose a lot of our subscribers through involuntary churn, with credit cards not updating.
“So that’s a big part of our business and it’s far more challenging to pursue those good customers and win them back once they’ve been without our service for a while. The attraction with MPP Global was to try and dramatically decrease that figure.
“Meanwhile, because we’re worldwide, we found that there were niche payment methods and currencies that we needed to investigate and support,” he continued. “with the flexibility of eSuite, it was a no-brainer really.”
Paul Johnson, CEO and Co-Founder, MPP Global, said: “We’re delighted to be working with the Professional Squash Association and helping them to further widen the global reach of SQUASHTV with eSuite.
“We have a growing reputation in the world of sports OTT, working with professional organisations and major clubs and our ability to optimise the payments process is second-to-none. The PSA recognised our track record in enabling companies to combat churn and I’m looking forward to seeing the results we can achieve together.”
