MPP Globalis pleased to welcome Michael Norton to its Board of Directors.

To maximise the many opportunities that lie ahead, MPP Global has strengthened its founding team and Mr. Norton will bring to the company a wealth of eCommercepayments knowledge and expertise, with a particular focus on strategic vision and growth. For the past 4 years Michael has been the Managing Director of PayPoint.net, a subsidiary of FTSE 250 Company PayPoint, and he joins MPP Global as the company enters into a new and exciting phase of expansion.

As the leader of Customer Relationship Management, eCommerce and Payment solutions to some of the biggest brands in media and entertainment including BSkyB, News International, Philips and Universal Music Group, MPP Global is uniquely positioned to benefit from Mr. Norton’s significant payments industry experience as it focuses on refining its strategic direction and organisational developments.

Mr. Norton brings extensive eCommerce experience to MPP Global. In 2000, Michael founded the UK’s first mobile communications category management solutions business, 2020 Solutions. He was CEO at EPOSS, a start-up electronic product delivery and payment solutions company which was ultimately sold to Fortune 100 Company, First Data Corporation. He then founded Ukash and served as CEO for two years before leaving to join PayPoint as International Director, initially leading the development of PayPoint’s first international business in Romania and subsequently serving as Managing Director of PayPoint.net.

Mr. Norton said, “I am thrilled to be joining MPP Global’s Board of Directors. MPP Global has developed a longstanding reputation as an innovator and developer of leading Customer Relationship Management tools, rich eCommerce functionality and comprehensive payment capability. I have long been impressed by MPP Global’s strategic vision as well as their proven ability to implement cutting edge paywall solutions for leading media organisations efficiently and with great breadth of functionality. As MPP Global continues to expand its global reach, I look forward to being part of a growing, dynamic and prescient team. We all look for chances to be part of something bigger than ourselves and I am confident that MPP Global affords me the rare opportunity to do just that as digital technology continues to change the way each of us interacts with the surrounding world.”

MPP Global will turn to Mr. Norton’s insights as they further expand into Europe, the United States and South America; already a resounding success with a number of exciting developments to be announced in the coming months. New client delivery from The New York office has exceeded early projections; demanding the addition of a number of new members to MPP’s North American team.

PwC’s current entertainment and media report states that by 2017 digital circulation will experience over a 100% increase in market share as the UK entertainment and media market delivers over £11 billion of growth in the same time frame. These factors have led to a significant increase in demand for MPP Global’s innovative products and the Company is therefore expanding its commercial and development teams whilst steadily adding new business partners like Adobe, Xstream, Accenture and Accedo Broadband, to mention only a few.

With a career rich in corporate leadership, business development and strategic vision, Michael Norton will help MPP Global continue to define the leading edge of payment technology.
